"It's your move."
The figure across the table smirked, and gave a little shrug. "Isn't that a matter of perspective? I mean, we're the same person. So, isn't my move the same as your move?"
Jamie sighs. "Allright, I can think of a number of things I'd rather be doing than playing chess with a philosophical dupe, but if you insist, I can take a second turn in a row."
He reaches out, moving his bishop to claim an unguarded pawn. "See? I have no problem with that. Want me to take a third move?"
The dupe across the table smiles patiently through the diatribe. "No, I think I'll take my turn now." Leaning forward, he moves a black rook across the board. "Checkmate."
Jamie's eyes widen. "You did that on purpose. You gave me the extra turn on purpose."
The dupe shrugs his shoulders again. "What can I say? I know how you think."
"Wish I could say the same."
